Just offshore from Cannes sits one of the Riviera's most iconic boating destinations.
The Cannes Islands feel completely different to the busy Croisette with quieter water, pine forests, hidden swimming coves and a far more relaxed atmosphere overall. They've become a staple stop on Riviera day charters for good reason.
Île Sainte-Marguerite
The largest and most famous island.
Most guests visit for La Guérite but the island itself is also beautiful for swimming, snorkelling and exploring away from the crowds.
There's a walking path that loops around much of the island through pine trees, coastal viewpoints and quieter swimming areas, making it well worth spending a few hours on land between boat stops.
Île Saint-Honorat
Known for its monastery and calmer atmosphere, Saint-Honorat feels peaceful and understated compared to much of the Riviera.
Excellent for slower afternoons on the water.
Lunch at La Guérite
No Cannes Islands itinerary is complete without lunch at La Guérite.
Located on Île Sainte-Marguerite, the restaurant has become one of the Riviera's most iconic long lunch destinations with seafood, music and all afternoon energy right by the water.
Most guests anchor offshore before arriving by tender for lunch.
Lunch on the Water
While La Guérite is the iconic lunch stop around the Cannes Islands, many guests also choose to stay fully on the water all day.
Guests are welcome to bring their own food onboard or organise catering ahead of time before departure. And if nothing has been planned, no stress.
During summer, there's a famous pizza boat operating around the islands delivering fresh pizzas directly to boats anchored nearby. It's become part of the whole Cannes Islands experience and perfect for groups wanting to stay swimming, sunbathing and relaxing onboard all afternoon.
Best Time of Day
Late morning through sunset is ideal.
Most guests combine island swimming with a long lunch before slowly cruising back towards Cannes in the evening.
